1.  Stayed for one night for a bday surprise. Location is pefect for quick walk across the street to Hotel Del and the beach - plus $200 cheaper than the Del. Our room was clean, bed was comfortable, and the pillows were soft.
The highlight was coming home after a dinner out to find truffles and freshly baked chocolate chip cookies waiting for us. The iced milked to pair with it was amazing as well! It was actually the thing that will keep us coming back if we do another Coronado trip!  The pool is small, and was filled with kids over the weekend. However, the hot tub was kid-free and enjoyable after a day of walking around Coronado.

2.  We've stayed at the Glorietta perhaps a dozen times since the mid 1990s and continue to return. The measure of a wonderful hotel is how the staff feels about it -- and at the Glorietta every one of them, from the General Manager to the landscaping staff, they all refer to it as "MY Hotel." They are all proud of it and it shows in how they treat their guests. Highly recommended.

3.  Located right across the street from Hotel Del Coronado, this old Mansion converted to a hotel was an excellent place to stay. The rooms were very nice, there is afternoon tea, and a continental morning breakfast. Although on a busy street, I could not hear any traffic. The location is great within easy walking distance to resturants and the Del is across the street. I highly recommend this hotel. Only downside , there is little parking and you are charged $10 per day (way better than across the street). One night, I had to find street parking. They do not charge you if you do not park on their lot.
